Just bought the CNX Mini.... - ABA DSS

Firstly, I'd like to thank all again who helped me before and suggested I make a new purchase after researching my receiver was bad news.....

So, I've taken your advice and have the new receiver hooked up, BUT, I'm only getting 1 channel - Angel. Everything else says it's scrambled....what do I do???

load the latest bin but no premium channels then factory reset to dellete all the channels double check your setting and do a fresh scan good luck

you also need to load the latest patch after you load the latest bin.

okay........still nothing. I've downloaded as I've been instructed installed onto the receiver - can see the channels are there - still all say 'S' beside them - or scrambled. I notice when I do the scan and the TP I get to great Signal and Quality - but when the scan is done - there is no Q left...could that be it???

you don't need a usb stick,but it sure beats using the pc and loader lol.

anyway.lots of channels down,we are waiting for new bins.

you can still get some tho.did you load the latest patch on top of the bin from the cnx tools/patches section?
if not,you need too.

Hi again....yes, did the Bin and patch - still nothing. It's all scrambled still. The channels are there - just not coming in. We are on Nimiq 1. Is there something with the TP?

Also, I noticed on the one section you gave a step by step instructions of how to upload, etc. The one part that says how to enter keys manually you say go to go KeyWorks....I don't have that in my menu? Any reason why I wouldn't.

I'm sorry to be a pain - but I still can't figure this thing out....I've entered the BIN and Patch - nothing. Everything is scrambled except NASA and Angel.

I don't have that KeyWorks section to manually enter #'s either.... We are using Nimiq 1. Should I have TP set to something special or one of the other sections??? The instructions are okay - not great - is ther something someone can do to help?

load the patch file again.
and don't sit on a ppv or premium movie for a/r to work.that will just try and roll keys for provider 0106

go to a regular channel.let it sit there for a couple mins.
that will roll keys for provider 0101

oh oops,your on nimiq 1 91w bev.
Beverly seems to be about all down now.need a new bin buddy.
you entered the hobby at a tuff time.now its a waiting game for us.

OOhhh okay - That I can understand I thought I was doing something wrong. I do have a question though - how do I obtain the smart card - it did not come with the receiver.

she uses a usb stick for updates.just grab one at wal-mart or somewhere.

oh - so I don't need the smart card then - I have a stick - I thought I needed both....duh....
