It was up on all channels earlier, but now on my nfusion the ppv and movie channels are not there, Im sure there will be a IKS correction soon.

Looking to pick up another receiver and the nfusion seems like it has less down time because of the IKS solution.
Question:
Is it up right now?
Do you leave it connected to the internet all the time?
Whats the chance that it could be traced?
What web site does it connect to?
Do you manually update it or is it automatic?

Not real big on anything connected "all the time" to the internet....Should this be a concern?

Any details from someone that's using the nfusion would be appreciated.

Nfusion is only missing PPV, Adult and Movie channels. The balance has always been working.
No, only connect for upgrades.
Not worried, how can they trace if not connected. Besides, not enough return for time and money to trace if you don't stay connected.
Don't know what site, implanted in the software you boot and bin with.
Sort of Auto and Man, use menu to get to internet, highlight and click, highlight check upgrades, click, STB will tell you if upgrades available, if there is click. That is about it.

So basically you're in the same boat (missing ppv,premium's) as we are.
Looks like the real advantage is easy updating and whether their coders get the new fix out quicker.

They can only trace you IF you leave it connected to the net ALL the time.
If you only connect long enough to update the unit...you will be safe.
Or if you still are not comfortable with the concept of Big Brother watching you update...then you can still update your receiver the normal way by flashing it with a new BIN from your PC...or memory stick.
This Unit is relatively new on the scene, so only time will tell if the coders working for nFusion will be any better than others or not.

Another advantage that maybe huge.
On all other receivers, once you download "third party" software it voids the warranty.

This receiver is beginning to grow on me...lol
Wonder how they get away with it.....Legally....know what I mean.
