Re: Dr. Popo needs help!
Don't even bother to scan if your quality is not there. Quality is very important. Check your connections if they are good them adjust your dish to get a quality of at least 50% before you try to scan.
Sorry I can't direct you on the dish position I'm not running echo 3.
I'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction.

Re: Dr. Popo needs help!
Use a satellite calculator to find dish settings for your area for the sat that you want.
Set skew, and elevation.
Use compass to point dish.
fine tune azimuth for quality.

Re: Dr. Popo needs help!
Are you using an inline meter to peak your dish?

If you are too far north, like Canada, you may need a 30" dish to get echo3.
I always use an inline meter, too hard without it, and they are so cheap. It takes very slight adjustments to get quality on some sats. Sometimes, I have to take the receiver outside with me while I am adjusting the dish. Hard to do in the winter for some people.
