I have a coolsat 5000 platinum and have downloaded the proloader v 2.4. I have got the latest file in loader and follow instructions on how to transfer to reciever but it just searches for com port. what am i doing wrong????????????? please help

if your using a pc, i usually put the cable in the main com port in the back. if its empty then i push connect and switch the receiver on at the same time and it begins to load. the main 9 pin com port in the back is most often com port 1. and make sure your using the correct cable.

how do i know if i have right cable? i have a 9 pin female - female cable i believe is a rs232 is that the same as a dp9????????????

Make sure is a null cable, if is a serial cable get a null cable adapter........
