CNX Mini...Grggrrrr - or is it just me???

Hi again, I still have not figured this thing out, just bought the CNX Mini last week. I've written out my steps as to downloads, channel search etc. Please tell me where I'm going wrong......

My dish is set for DN - not BEV on Nimiq 1 91W.

I see the 'current patch' and Bin '3.19'. I've saved them to my USB.
I've unzipped them on my USB.
Plug it in to receiver.
Go to USB section and go to file (it's blue) and save data.
2 files are then shown: Channel data (SDB) and all s/w sata (UNO).

Which one do I choose?

Then it creates 2 files - if I've choosen both.
Under SDB press okay nothing happens.
Under UNO - 3 different files show: s/w upgrade, s/w upgrade and all data upgrade and boot loader upgrade.

Which one do I choose?

I've tried all....then I do a factory default again?

Then I've tried channel search...

Satellite: Nimiq 1 91w
Diseqc: none
TP frequency: 212268 (it will make my S & Q at 95)
LNB: 11250
22 khz: off
Multi dish switch: off
LNB power: off

I search all channels - they come up but are still scrammbled.

I'm sorry this is so long winded...just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Dish Network is 110 and 119, BEV is 82 and 91. Provider I.D is 0101 for Dish and 0901 for BEV...

Thanks - I tried - and still nothing - this thing is going in the river soon...

Okay - I downloaded the 3.19 Bin - I choice all - then downloaded all 3: s/w, s/w upgrade and b/l.

Then I scanned channels - this time with 119 Echo. Then did the patch all 3 again.

Still nothing....any other ideas???

I had a Pansat 3000 before (it's a clone) but this works on Nimiq 1 with DN.... so I know the dish is pointed correctly.

I've tried Nimiq 1 too as earlier mentions at TP freq: at 12239 too.

I find when I press search to Quality and Signal are good - but when the search is over the Q & S are gone and the TP is not the same - doesn't stay at 12239.

ok hang on here buddy.lets get you up and running.

1.format your usb stick.-or just delete everything on it ok.
(save anything you may have important on it first tho)

2.download these files and extract them to your pc.then drag and drop then to your usb stick.making sure they are in no folders or anything.

now,go to usb the select factory file 608 and load it as BOOT LOADER. (B/L)
(this factory defaults and cleans it,tho its not a boot)

now load 319 as software (S/W)

next load the patch.just press ok on it.

now your all updated correctly.
NEXT tell me what you have for hardware dish/lnbs/switch etc etc and what bird(s) its currently pointed at before doing anything further please.

okay - I've done as you said loading everything.

Now - the problem is the other stuff. I know it's a Bev dish - I bought the dish and receiver years ago - used the original receiver with a card. Then switched it over to Pansat 3000 (my bad clone) that worked for a few years too.

I don't know what Inbs means or switch??

The bird?? I think you mean it's pointed to get DN - the DN works with my Pansat (even now) we used Nimiq 1 - Nagaravision 2. Just over 1/2 of the channels are not working and thought the Mini would get more in.

Does that help - or am I a complete write off....

ok if your pointed at dn then you dont want to setup nimiq 1 @91w thats a bev bird.

lnb=the eye at the end of the dish.if its a bev dish do you see 2 lnbs or just one?
and what channels where you getting? this will tell me if its poited at 119 or 110

There is 2 lnb - we are just using one though.

With Pansat we are getting A/E, Game, Food, Speed, Spike, etc...no HBO, PPV or Momax though...

With CNX we get Angel and Nasa....yippy

didn't you get a 4x1 diseqc with your receiver?
is your dish skewed to hit both 119/110?

and did momax scan in with the pansat tho? (i know it may be scrambled if you don't have latest bin,that doesn't matter right now)

dont get frustrated ,,ABADSS is here for you ,,check system information ,and make sure you got Ver3.19 On the menu settings ,when your switching satellites ,on the bottom you will get a display telling you witch sat you are locked into

we we got that disequ thing - not using it - (didn't know where to put it honestly).

Not sure what it's skewed to - with the Pansat - we always used the nimiq 1 and got DN or BEV - we justed phsyically changed the dish (we have those 2 marked) and just changed back and forth if one went down.

And yes - Momax scanned in with Pansat -

(forget about nimiq/bev birds ok.your not pointed there)

go in and setup echo 7 ok and just like you did above:

then do the auto/sat scan

then exit out to a channel.wait while it says "auto roll processing"
give it a few mins.

do the same thing for the ppvs/movie channels.

Maybe this has been my problem the whole time - I don't see anywhere the auto/sat scan....where is that - it's not in the instructions anywhere...

I've also never seen the auto roll notice either....

Its under installations,channel search ,scroll down to search options,,it says all channels ,or you could switch it to blind scan...make sure LNB power is on ,and set up the correct LNB that you have ,,,If its a standard ,leave it on 11250,,If its a dish pro change it to Dish Pro1 ,If you got a DTV multiswitch turn on 22khz tone
