Repainted Dish
Is it possible to use an 18" round dish which has been repainted to pickup B3V?

Re: Repainted Dish
Ordinary car spray will be fine providing
a thin single coat is put on the reflecting surface and it must be matt or it will reflect
light and heat as well as the signal. The heat will burn through the feedhorn cap and let
the spiders in. THEY BLOCK THE SIGNAL - use matt paint. Car primer is ideal.
Alternatively you could use a clear transparent dish.
i found this because i was not sure i have seen them painted before but was not sure i hope this helps

Re: Repainted Dish
just a short note, all three of my dishes are painted, including a dish for satellite internet with scenes depicting whatever we chose, no drop in signal strength or quality of picture that i can tell. one final note DO NOT USE A LEAD BASED PAINT, they will really drop the quality and signal strength, just my 2cents worth.
