Just some Q's
Ok, so I have a few questions that I keep seeing that I would like explained to me couldn’t really I find anything in the newbie section.
I’m thinking of getting a used coolsat 5000 for 65$ do you think that’s a good deal? I know they don’t make this model anymore so does support for this completely suck?
I keep reading about loading “new keys” and “auto scroll” what is that and would that be relevant if I get the cs5000, If so how?
I read the information on how the program the box (cs5000) but in the reading there’s nothing about “keys” or “autoscroll” was I missing something and what’s a “BEV”?

Re: Just some Q's
Yes, the support for the CS5000 is a drag.
To answer your other questions in simple terms, KEYS are represented as a series of numbers and letters used by the BIN files to allow video play thru your receiver. AUTO ROLL is a function performed by the BIN file to automatically arrange the keys when they are changed by the provider. When this process 'breaksdown' you need to input the keys manually.
B3V is a Canadian TV provider, just like D!$h N3tw0rk.

Re: Just some Q's
Just my two cents but I would add another $40.00 and get the Captive Works CW600P , great support as of it's release until now. You have come to a great place to make a informed decision.Read all you can about all brands and ask questions like they say knowledge is wealth.

Re: Just some Q's
I think would buy a more up to date receiver and end up saving a few bucks sonicview, coolsat and cw are very good and price of new is not much more than 120$. easier to set up and support will be better. Just my opinion.I have a cw 800pvr that cost 140.
