went from bev to charlie but have a prob now - ABA DSS

hello

i'm fairly new to fta but my lil bro has been it in for some time and got me into it

my prob i wanted to go from bev to charlie. bro came and we set it to charlie's bird but all my vs 2000plat does it autoroll even with new fix.
lil bro is stumped as we set it as he has his set. i have good sig(75+) and qual(80+),so he refered me to ask for some help here. any ideas or info would be great.
dont want to go back to bev. lol

what bird are you trying to catch? 110? 119?
What are your antenna settings?

we tried for 110 and 119 and got good sig and qual but no pic or sound.so we know i'm getting both birds. stb does nothing but autoroll.i double checked the keys and they match the new bin.

heres a quick test, once you have everything set up, go to channel 100. its open and just has some promo stuff. if you get that and not other channels, your dish is pointed properly and your antenna settings are correct. . if you get 100 but nothing scrambled, its your bin or keys.

work on getting an open channel first, pointing, settings etc. once you have that, focus on your bins and keys.

my dish settings are whats listed.
and i tried a few channels and and they worked ,they were 101 some charlie thing, 213 nasa and 222 some home shop show .lol
so if it's bad keys what should/do i need to do? put a fact bin in and try new bin after that?
we tried the new bin a cple of times.

all else fails factory default your stb, load factory bin, setup your antenna settings, load latest fix, let keys roll or type them in manual. Hope this helps

Check the New Keys section, I think there was a recent DN key change. Make sure it matches the one on your receiver.
BTW, have you try a hard reboot (switch off the box using the rear switch) after loading the new file?

yep checked the keys and they match and have done the hard boot .tried all this before we came to ask. lil bro knows more than me but double checking never hurt if he missed a idea.

i'll try a fact bin and stuff i guess . dont think it could get worse lol

i get open channels ,no scrambled and took switch off and hooked to just 119 charlie to receiver. loss for what to do .

well for a update .i tried everything you all have suggested last nite and then retried it today with the same results .good s/q on 119 and 110. (hooked just to 119 now with no switch) i get the open channels but nothing else.
any other ideas as what to try ? thanks for all the help so far

i bet it's some stupid easy thing like it always is

well from readin the site i might have found the prob. in the man. adding keys post by grasshopper. it says that there should be 5 lines of code for 010100 well i only have 4 lines of code. my vs2000p hasnt never been on charlie except for now so i have no clue where the line of code went to?
how can i find out what the line of code is and also can i put it back ?

Try this...
Do a Factory Default. Load the most recent Factory File (V131) then load the latest BIN file.
Fix your Antenna Settings and Auto Scan.
