Make sure the Local Channels option is ON and set your region/city.

I just installed viewsat ultra VS2000 receiver and can't locate the local channels. I can't find any local channels or region/city option on my menu screen. Am I doing something wrong or the receiver doesn't have those options?

Can you do a network scan on your receiver. If not ,make sure you do a full scan and not a blind scan.

I don't think I can't do network scan itself. When I do auto scan the the network scan is on, I just tried it again and same results, no local channels.

Menu, then User Settings, then System Settings and this is what I'm getting

Menu Language

Beep for scanning
Sort by SID


There are no other options, how do I choose my region?

I got the dish and receiver installed only 2 days ago, so I'm new to this, I got bunch of international channels. Is there something else that I have to do in order to get locals channels?
