OK..Ready to connect sw4000
OK....Ready to hook up everything..
Got the SW4000...Setting it beslide my dn system.
>>>>dn system with 3 Lnbs coming in>>>>>
I got a A/B switch and the switch I got with the unit.
what cables do I switch around from one to the other.
HOW do I connect both together,(use one awhile and then use the other)
And should I leave everything off while connecting......Thanks

Re: OK..Ready to connect sw4000
1st of all always make sure power switch on back is off anytime you disconnect any cables from box
2nd how often are you talking about switching back and forth because i would just use the sv4000 until it goes down then use other as backup
what i would do is just unhook cable from dn box and hook to sv4000

Re: OK..Ready to connect sw4000
my guess since you have a dn dish that it already has a switch built in so connect the coax from the dish directly into the stb and in antenna settings set switch on and port 1 for 119, port 2 for 110 and port 3 for 129. then put the output from the stb into your a/b switch and the output of the a/b switch to the TV. im guessing the switch uses y /pb/ pr output, you really dont want to feed your tv with coax and modulated tv.....
good luck

YA...I guess that would be best...I just throught that ,,that hook-up
would be pretty good..so I wouldn't have to get behind the TV everytime..
