Re: Dose it matter what size you flashdrive is
That does work most of the time. Try that or a hard reboot and try your stick again

Re: Dose it matter what size you flashdrive is
Yeah i ran into the same problem too... i figured it was because the usb stick was too small... i used a bigger one and it worked fine... i guess the cheaper ones cant be detected.... they probably need specific specifications that it doesnt meet....

Re: Dose it matter what size you flashdrive is
yeah you have to use a gig or bigger or the STB won't see it. For any pvr type it has to be at least a gig. From what I was told the STB is manufactured to only see a gig or higher. If you stop and think about it what
good would it do for you to use a 32mb drive to rec tv, I'm sure that was what they were thinking when they they made it.

Re: Dose it matter what size you flashdrive is
If you had used the flash drive in your box, there is a safe remove tab in your menu. Sometimes if the stick is not safely removed it can go bad. Also if you do not safely remove it from your computer, you can screw the drive up. Otherwise before inserting the usb drive, turn the box on.Insert the usb drive and it should be recognised. Then press ok.Go to System information then Software Update List, press ok and you should see the list of Bin file on the stick. Choose the current file and let the box reboot. If this does not work, do a factory default and try again.

If your drive was not big enough it wouldn't let let you load the files to begin with. I seriously doubt that it's the size of your USB drive. What happened to the one that came with it and did you remember to format the drive to fat 32?
