Missing Channels/ Scanning Questions
I am missing quite a few channels. I am told I can do a factory reset, then download the latest bin file. I can manage that. Next I need to know what is the proper procedure for scanning once that I have accomplished doing the factory reset & have downloaded the latest bin? I have a SV4000 . Do I do a Sat Scan, TP Scan, or Scan All, or Blind Scan & what is the difference between the blind scan & Sat Scan, and when do I need to do a TP Scan? thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Missing Channels/ Scanning Questions
all you should have to do is scan for channels again. I am not really familiar with the sonicviews but usually a factory reset is not necessary to get channels. if they double like they would if you do a blind scan just delete all channels and scan again.
good luck and post again for further assistance.

Re: Missing Channels/ Scanning Questions
you need to go to your antenna settings and make sure they are all correct for the sat you want to scan.....if not, make the nessessary changes......then make sure you have a good signal and then do the scan

Please try this
Go to menu under options
sort by sid on
sort by sid after scan on
auto full name on
auto dolby select off
round up channel off
local channel on
that will get u where you want to be
Please contact me if you have more problems.

Re: Missing Channels/ Scanning Questions
For some reason I have no signal strength at all on Sat 110. I checked my settings and all are correct from what I have been reading. Is there some reason I can get a signal on 119, but none on 110? Any suggestions?

If you don´t have signal in one satellite, change your switch connections, I had a similar trouble that was fixed changing the switch connectiones (sat. 119 on sat 2 and sat. 110 on sat 4)
Good luck.
