Unhappy Can someone help

BEV 91w
VS Ultra 2000 with latest bin
settings are:
LNB power = on
LNB type = standard
LNB Freq = 11250
22 KHz = on
TP freq = 12224
DISEqc = Port 3
Motor = off
Legacy SW = none

I took someone's advice and deleted channels before installing a new bin file and then autoscan and as a result, I only got about 160 channels . Before I did this I just installed the new bin file without deleting and was doing pretty well and I had about 500 channels. In trying to correct this, I also took some advice about doing a factory reset and resanning but still no luck.
Can anyone offer any advice/help

PS Everything was great before deleting the files

are you sure you want 22khz on?
did you re-enter your antenna settings after the reset?

Re: Can someone help

There is a SW44 switch in the crawl space with 4 cables in from a dual LNB but only 1 output for 91W. 82W access is blocked by some trees (according to previous owner) so it's not used

Re: Can someone help

When you deleted the channels you should have been able to get them back when you rescanned using auto. What is the signal strength ? If your using the SW 44, you should change the legacy SW option. sometimes a low signal will not pick up every tp.

Look like you are using a Dish Pro.Try change the setting form Standard to OCS-DP and scan it again.

Re: Can someone help

If you are only after 1 bird 91W since 82W is blocked by trees then you don't need to use any switches just run 1 line for the 91W lnb to the STB and scan.

Re: Can someone help

That is also a good idea...Get rid of the switch if your just using the one receiver and the single lnb port. That would be your best connection.

Re: Can someone help

Yes I understand about the switch, but nothing changed from getting 500 channels to getting 160 channels.... except deleting them before autoscanning with new bin file. Do you think it's just a setting that has changed to cause the problem.

Re: Can someone help

yeah it's most likely the settings and by going straight to the STB bypassing switches it'll make your life easier with the settings.They would look like this.

VS Ultra 2000 with latest bin
settings are:
BEV 91w
LNB power = on
LNB type = standard(if using a DP LN change to OCS-DP)
LNB Freq = 11250
22 KHz = OFF
TP freq = 12224
Diseqc = OFF
Motor = off
Legacy SW = none

BTW 91W has about 410 channels so that's how many you should be getting

Re: Can someone help

Since you have 4 output on your LNB then you are running a Quad LNB.
Now it could be a Legacy or DP LNB. Is there a "DP" logo anywhere on the LNB?

Re: Can someone help

Did you have a port setting prior to your deleting and rescanning? You don't have to accept the first scan results, you can choose no and re-try to see if more channels come through or use manual scan.

Turn off all power to all satellite not being scanned and power only to the one being scanned. Auto scan each satellite this way and you should receive all channels.
