I am looking to buy an hd receiver and i was just wondering what would be the best receiver to get that is capable of hd. Please list the price too. THX

Viewsat9000 and Sonicview8000 are among the top. If you are looking into getting HD from DN, you'll need the 8psk add-on module.
You are looking between $500-$600

sonicview 8000 is my choice goes for about 450 the 8psk mod goes for about 175

The thing is, there aren't that many HD receivers support with good support right now. So Sonicview 8000HD and VS 9000HD stand out.

If Captain can get their act together, their HD box is a great little receiver. Very cheap.

CaptiveWorks CW3000HD is a very nice linux-based HD Media Center (I call it a Media Center cause it's so much more than just an FTA box).

I have had both SV8000HD and VS9000HD I had both hooked up at the same time to my Sony 55inch sxrd 1080p with HDMI and the better receiver in my option VS9000HD.

theres a plug on the module that snaps in to the sv 8000 also cant post other link not allowed.
