Satellite channel lists

I have a viewsat 9000hd and have the option of pointing to 61 different satellites. Could someone give me a link to find out what channels are on each of these 61 satellites?

Also the 118.7 bird is not on my list of satellites. Is there a file I can load into my box to make 118.7 avaiable to scan?

try lyngsat to find the channels and i think you have to have a certain type of lnb to get 118. someone correct me if im wrong and post what type of lnb is needed. thanks

On the VS receivers, start with Echo 9 (121) to get Anik Fe @ 118.7. Then you need to edit the TPs to match lyngsat.com (DISH Network on Anik F3 & EchoStar 7 at 119.0°W - LyngSat) and then scan.

thanks! something like lyngsat is exactly what I was looking for. So if I set to the 119 bird, I just need to find the right TP's to pick up 118.7, right? Even though 118.7 is not listed in my antenna setup menu, right?

Yes that is correct ...

Or if you can find an up-to-date SAT info file for your receiver that may be a way to correct it.

Which box do you have? I'm sure there is an updated SAT info file for Viewsat units, its in the downloads section.
