Hi new to FTA please help
I have a dish network 2 room system. Installed a month ago. I have top 100 programming.
If i bought a FTA receiver which one could I hook to use as my 2nd receiver. Also can i program it to receive PPV, and sports while connected to my system. Meaning can they detect that I have it hooked up in conjunction with my other receiver. Also if this can be done which is the best value for ease of use and price. My main concern is getting a reicver that will work with my current dish to get both sats and programming ease and access.
I appreciate all the help i can get.
Thank You All.

Re: Hi new to FTA please help
Hey slowdonut,
I'm pretty sure that you can't use a fta receiver with the set up you have. Considering that you got your system just installed recently you are under contract for a while. You need to set up another dish so you can use the fta rec. I have a dish 500 quad which is one of the more simple set ups because there are not switches. You just connect rec. striaght to lnb. When you decide to buy the rec. make sure you are able to use a USB stick to program. You then will be able to get everything.

Re: Hi new to FTA please help
your subscription has nothing to do with fta. find a receiver that suits you and you should be able to use the DN setup you have to get echostar 7(119), echostar 8,10(110), and nimic1,3 (91.bev, can. provider.)
when you decide what you want post again and we will help you set it up.

Re: Hi new to FTA please help
I have done similar setups. They had a dual tuner box so I had to plug the line in to the FTA and use diseqc which was built in and scanned and it worked fine.
