Sat. 119 down (for me)

Let my house this morning watching TV just fine.

Get home, go to see what's on and I'm getting "Searching for Signal" on most of the channels I wanted to try and watch. Figure it's just the box needed to update or whatever. Leave it for a while, come back nothing...

Turn on my valid Dish Reciever and getting the same things on the same channel. Than get the error message

Satellite signal has been lost, signal acquisition is in progress. Please wait.

Gives Sat. 119 and various transponders. Signal strength is actually better on 119, vs 110. Even went outside and messed with it, but it was pointed where it should be.

Call a friend who lives just down the road and their 119 is fine.


All the channels from 110 are coming in fine and nothing from 119.


Dish 500, been installed problem free for about 3-4 years. Only thing different is two nights ago I ran another COAX line from it to the house to hook my valid reciever up to. Worked fine that night and last night and this morning and now something is messed up.


Any ideas? Is my LNB S.O.L or something else possibly?

Don't feel like messing to much with it tonight, but I guess I can take my valid reciever somewhere else tomorrow and check it out.

same problem for me here in florida. I think the new repositioning of 110, and other factors, have been really screwing things up for a few days(not to mention tropical storm fay).

Take a small tv and stb out by your reflector and hook direct to lnb,if you get picture bad coxial going to house.Still no picture when your hooked direct change lnb and if you still arnt getting tv gotta be dish alingment.

It's not the dish alingment.

In the dish pointing test through my DISH 211 reciever the singal is fine, around 55-60. My 110 dish signal is 45-50.

And both boxes, V.S. Ultra and my Dish box are both having problems.



If it's something as the first poster reponded and maybe just an issue with 119, OK. Although a 1/2 mile up the road their box is working off of 119.

Here neither of mine are, on two seperate lines.

Do the LNB's go bad just like that where one Sat. will come in and not the other?

I need some help. I have a viewsat9000 HD. I am only getting echostar channels and can't get any nimic. I am unsure of where to go to download the new keys. The guy that normally sends me the files is out of town. He did give me a site to go to but I left it at work and cannot get it until Monday. Can someone tell me how to get the updated sat files? Thanks.

Well, problem fixed.. Not really solved. Just disconnected everything and swapped COAX cables and reg. Dish Rec. worked. Swapped things back and than they both worked? I have no idea what was up, but they're both working now or maybe for a brief period of time I just wasn't getting the proper signal and that fixed itself while I was swapping things out?

If you could afford the vs 9000, I'm sure you can afford the 5 bucks or so a month it takes to become a member and download your own files as they're only a few clicks away in the download section.
