Anik F3 LNB

Hey guys. I have a single linear lnb and I'm wondering if I can use it with 18" dish to get anik f3. The LNB is

Input Freq: 11.7-12.2 GHz
Output Freq: 950-1450 MHz

Will this LNB work?

yes it will bud the dish could be too small try lnb freq 10750 and the do the sttings and see if you can get...... it i have a 33 inch dish and it works great but you have a small dish

Also I have a superdish 121 I am getting 110 and 119 right now. The 121 LNB is just sitting there useless. Can I add that LNB in place of the 121 on the superdish. Will that work?

no that LNB will not work for Anik F3.....Anik F3 needs a circular LNB, but a LOW FREQUENCY circular LNB.....a linear LNB will not work

also....you need a much bigger dish than 18 inches.....30+

Yep,thats true.
I have the same problem here, i got circular lnb but with my 18" dish it wont work. I think you'll need a bigger dish.

Yes 33" minimum,anything lower,simply will not work,also its mostly international,no use to me anyhow.Really not worth it, unless for your ethnic background wants it.

Is it possible to modify my superdish 121 to get anik f3 by adding a diff lnb. I am not using the 121 LNB on the superdish. Is it possible to get 110, 119, and 118(anik f3). I know there are repoint kits. But is there other ways?

i have a 90 cm dish and /w a regular lenier <not circular> lnb i was able to get half of the channles when i had it verticle...all were weak 20-30s but came in....mabe if i playd /w the skew could be better

You should get a better signal with 90cm dish.

118.7 is too close to 119. I don't think there is other easy way to pick it up with 121 dish besides the superdish repoint kit.

You can replace the 119 LNB with a combo LNB that gets both 119 and Anik F3. Search the forum and you will find links to the combo LNB. It should work with the superdish.

Repoint kit is to expensive.

Ya but the 119 LNB holder on the superdish is different. How will I replace the 119 lnb with combo lnb I think superdish has a unique lnb holder.
