Banbo
when you subscribe to dishnet they installed two dishes. are those two dishes called dish500's.i whant to know what are they called. and how many sats can i scan with them. also sometimes i hear about the card reader that some fta receivers have. and i wonder what are they for.what are its uses.

yes one has a duel lnb and one has a single lnb they are pointed right were ya need them

The card readers in the boxes are used for european users. There they do not have to purchase a box from the provider, they can buy any box and put the card from their provider in it.

my question is how many sats can i scan. ihave 119,110.can i scan another sat like 129 for hd or 61.5.and how can i do it. because i have 119 on lnb 1 and 110 on lnb 2 and i tried to scan 129 it started scaning but it showed no channels.do i need another dish or move the dish to another location.

1 dish with a twin or quad LNB will get DN 110 & 119. (they are in the same location)
Anything else you want to see, will require another dish & pointing it into another direction.
You can only scan a satellite after you find the signal (by turning the dish) with a signal meter.
Once you can verify the actual satellite, you can scan it.
It's not clear what LNB you have, so difficult to tell you about the switch. (because some are built in to the LNB)

Look at the dish3s, they will say 500 hundred on them, you can use one for birds 110/119 and the other for the canadian birds
