Sorry, but you can't do that.
The remote you have is a universal remote.
This means it is a multi function remote control.
So you must select the function
* first, then enter the command.
However, I suggest you never turn the power OFF to your receiver...only turn OFF the TV.
But you still need to use the function buttons.
The only other option you have is get the remote for the TV & use 2 remotes.
* By function, I mean...TV / VCR / DVD / STB. (STB=Set Top Box or receiver)
