Dish Aiming/Signal Strenth

I have an elliptical dish with 4 LNBF's. I've noticed a few things:
1) the LNBF holder allows for some movement of the LNBF's before securing them in place. Should the LNBF point at the horizontal center of the dish? Currently, mine point slightly high of the center line.
2) the LNBF's are mounted below the center of the dish. This means if I point my dish at the elevation we're given for a specific satellite, I won't receive the signal. In other words, if the LNBF's are 20 degrees below the center of the dish, then I believe I'd have to aim the dish 20 degrees lower than the elevation of the satellite.
3) my LNBF's were not exactly aligned in the same plane. I loosened the screws to adjust this.
4) should I buy, or is there, a LNBF holder that ensures the individual LNBF's line up propertly?
Thanks

Re: Dish Aiming/Signal Strenth

those 5 LNB holders are not compatible with all elliptical dishes......they will cause the LNBs to aim at the top of the dish in some cases.....if that is the case you need an LNB holder that is slightly angled aiming the LNBs lower toward the middle of the dish......i know digiwave makes them....i had this problem at a friends place

Re: Dish Aiming/Signal Strenth

I have a 33" elliptical dish. I'm currently receiving 110W okay, and 119W somewhat, but I'm not getting the others.
I'm I to understand that the LNBF's should point to the horizontal center of the dish?
Should each LNBF also point to the vertical center of the dish (to the middle)? Mine currently point parallel to each other.

I've just visited the Digiwave website. They show my 5 LNBF bracket for their elliptical dish, DGA-6718. I'm confused.

that bracket is not compatible with all elliptical dishes.....if the LNBs are pointed too high on the dish then you need the digiwave DGA-6709.....

note where the LNBs mount how its on a slight angle......this angles the LNBs down to the center of the dish
