Dish Legacy Twin w/ SW21 for 110,119 and 61.5
Hi,
I have a newbie question regarding setup for Sonicview 8000HD that I will get this week.
My current setup is as follows:
#1 Dish - Legacy Twin LNB pointed at 110 and 119
#2 Dish - Single LNB pointed at 61.5
One cable from Dish#1 and one cable from Dish#2 are going to a switch (SW21). One cable from switch going to receiver.
Therefore, my question is - Will I be able to use my current setup w/ Sonicview 8000HD and what will this setup look like. If not, what do I need to set this up properly.
I will also get the DISEQC4x1 switch w/ receiver, will I need to use this?
Thanks for all your help.

try the following setup.

LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 11250
Diseqc: Port 1
DISH 119
Transponder: 12239
LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 11250
Diseqc: Port 2
DISH 61.5
Transponder: 12297
LNB Type: Standard (if using Legacy), OCS-DP (if using Dish Pro)
LNB Freq: 11250
Diseqc: Port 3

Fossil112 is correct. Take a look at the first drawing in this attachment...

try the following setup. (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong...think i'm off a bit)
DISH 110
Transponder: 12224
LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 11250
Diseqc: Port 1
DISH 119
Transponder: 12239
LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 11250
Diseqc: Port 2
DISH 61.5
Transponder: 12297
LNB Type: Standard (if using Legacy), OCS-DP (if using Dish Pro)
LNB Freq: 11250
Diseqc: Port 3
|
How will I be able to connect 110 and 119 separately to port 1 and 2 if I have only 1 cable running from the Twin Legacy LNB?
Thanks

Re: Dish Legacy Twin w/ SW21 for 110,119 and 61.5
those are your antenna settings.
one cable from the dp500 to port 1 (4x1)
another cable from dp500 to port 2 (4x1)
one cable from 61.5 to port 3 (4x1)
cable from output of 4x1 switch to receiver.

So what you're saying is that I have to run an extra cable from the twin legacy lnb, right? Just making sure before I go out on the snowy roof and kill myself.
Thanks

I do not see why you would need to run a third cable, for only one receiver. What needs to be done for wiring is to connect one cable from Legacy Twin LNB to diseqc switch IN1 for 119/110 and the 61.5 LNB to diseqc switch IN2. Then from diseqc switch OUT to the receiver IF-IN.
Then, the box settings should be:
Satellite:--------------119°---------110°----------61.5°
LNB Power:------------On -----------On------------On
LNB Type:-----------Standard-------Standard-------StandardFrequency:-----------11250--------11250--------11250
Transponder:--------12239--------12224--------12297 or 12326
22khz:------------------Off-----------Off-----------Off
Search options:--------All------------All------------All
Network search:-------On------------On------------On
Diseqc :---------------Port 1--------Port 1----------Port2
Motor:----------------Disable-------Disable------Disable
Legacy Switch:-----SW42 LNB1----SW42 LNB2------Off

Re: Dish Legacy Twin w/ SW21 for 110,119 and 61.5
I installed everything and it seems to work fine. I think I'm getting all the channels on 110 and 119 but I'm having issues with not getting most of the hd channels on 61.5. I'm able to pick some of the ppv NBAHD channels and one regular HD channel but everything else doesn't seem to work. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

that would be correct for the dp twin.
for the legacy twin, you only use one line to connect to external 4x1.
so you where right.he just has legacy lnb and not the dp that's all.
