Re: Need some advice on fta boxes. Please
its pretty tough to beat a sonicview today.these boys are really setting some high standards.
check the dual tuner system out:
http://www.abadss.com/forum/582-rece...ia-system.html
although, that new captiveworks ultima is the first to be able to record to your hard drive right in mpeg2 buddy.
that means no more conversions to get to dvd.that is some sweet.
these are the biggest 2 pvr systems going right now due to what they can do.
i mention these two because your running a pvr system now,and thought these would peek your interest.

Re: Need some advice on fta boxes. Please
Best working PVR SD receiver that I have used and I have many is the CNX Duo. PVR is unmatched in the ease of use and playback, great PQ and great support.
Problem is with buying a receiver right now is that unless you are doing real FTA like some of us are you are taking a chance with any receiver. The only receiver that has proved it can provide any channels on N3 is Nfusion and at the present time that is only due to Cardsharing and not an actual crack so even with them no PPV and no guarantee even with them.
If you are doing real FTA then there are many boxes that will do the job. Perusing the forums and asking questions will get you the answers you seek. Being a little more specific on what is important to you would help too.
For an SD box my favorite is the CNX Duo and for an HD box I like the Nuvenio HD.

Sonicview is my vote right now. Support is outstanding. 360 Elite is dual tuner, features and picture are upper line.
