FTA Receiver in Brazil
Hello everybody. I was wondering if there is any kind of receiver that would work in Brazil. Do you guys have any idea? I have a nfusion, but i was already told that it wouldn't work there.
Let me know what you guys think.
Thank you

Re: FTA Receiver in Brazil
Any receiver will work fine. The question is which satellites can you view in the sky... go here to view a list of free FTA in Brazil. This also lists the satellites that are viewable in your region.

Re: FTA Receiver in Brazil
Thanks for the reply fossil112, i really appreciate. That's also what i thought, but a friend told me that it is too far out of the sat beam. He tested down there and it was not working, and he tried the sats that were in the same website that you gave me.
Thanks again.

Thanks again.

Re: FTA Receiver in Brazil
No worries. I'm pretty sure that there is nothing on the dish's way, because the dish was already pointing to the sky brazil sat. I actually live here in the U.S. but i was trying to take the reciver to my dad in Brazil.
Thanks again.

Re: FTA Receiver in Brazil
Now we're onto something
if the dish is already pointing to brasilsat (84w), you're good to go! Hook up the dish and you'll have about 80 clear (digital) channels

Re: FTA Receiver in Brazil
Thanks for the information Bajanstep, but are you sure that these ones would work in Brazil? What about the sky brazil? Are you familiar with that sat? And what's the difference between these receivers? I already have an nfusion, so anything similar to that is a plus.
Thanks very much for you attention.

Re: FTA Receiver in Brazil
yes all boxes mentioned above should work in brazil but Sky Brazil is not open only Telefoncia...different coders for each brand of reciever...nfusion will not work on amazonas however Neosat and K1 Heros will. They are the only other boxes that are capable of IKS.

Re: FTA Receiver in Brazil
Thanks for the reply again. So, let me see if i understand. I can only get the amazonas sat in Brazil, right? And the only ones that would do that are the ones that you mentioned, right?
Are they really hard to set up?
Thank you again.
