How does IKS work?
Hello guys, how does IKS work? Do you need to hook up the STB box to an ethernet port, or can it be wirelessly connected to a router?

Autoroll works by using the card emulation to get the keys. IKS (Internet key sharing) works by having the keys sent to your receiver via the Internet. So you'll need to be connected to the server to watch tv.
You can use a wireless bridge or similar devices to use it wirelessly or use a wire.

You can connect wireless using a network bridge. Basically you need to be connected 24/7 to watch tv. The receivers that are IKS have a Ethernet port in the rear of the unit.

you can hook up the ethernet ready receiver direct to the internet, through a hardwired router or a wireless router. many options available.

I a currently don't have a broadband router or cable. I am getting my internet free with a wireless antenna, IKS will not work this way right?
