International Channels on DN
Hi folks,
I am missing few of the international channels for couple of days now on 61.5 ... Is this due to a BIN issue or did DN change something similar to what B3V did...
Any idea please???

your reciever will never be useless.....
it will always work for true FTA satellite tv viewing, just like it was advertised to do.....
point a dish at 123W and you will have 24/7 100% free, and 100% legal tv.....this is what your reciever is intended for, advertised for, and sold for.....
if you purchased it for other reasons, then you purchased it for the wrong reasons......
unless your physical reciever becomes damaged or defective, it will always work the way it was intended to work.....

There are 2 things going on:
1. international channels are being moved from 61.5 to 118.7
From what the installer said, 61.5 will be mostly HD channels.
2. more & more international channels are going N3 every wed/thursday.
fyi...
if u have an internatinol sub, d!sh is installing a 500+ pan to catch 110, 119 & 118.7 with a switch34 for free.
i wanted the installer to also tie in my old 61.5, but no go. He said if u subscribe to HD, only then d!sh will spring for the more expensive switch 44.

Yes, I do, thank you for asking, this is why I am not a VIP member here because I do not need BIN files, I use factory software and use my reciever for its intended purposes,
I have a motorized c-band dish and a motorized ku-band dish, over 4000 fta channels that are up and legal 24/7 and never go down, I don't have any reason or need to hack the providers

Re: International Channels on DN
You can still be a VIP without utilizing files, there are Manuals, Guides, FAQ's, literally tons of really good info here, without the need for any .bin files; so I don't really understand the hostility.
Everyone, 'chillax' and get ready for the weekend.

The point is if you are telling the truth about your usage of FTA receivers, you are a minority on these sites. MOST subscribers are here for bins and other useful info... so seriously relax.

i agree with your statement 100%....but that has nothing to do with what i said.....i am not debating that fact.....
you asked if your reciever would "become useless" when nag 3 hits.....and i was simply explaining to you that it would never "become useless" when it is used properly for its intended purposes.....that was the topic at hand, not my personal use.....

Re: International Channels on DN
I would appreciate if someone can help me. I did not wanted to start a new thread since my problem is realated to international channels. Currently I am using the latest bin 312 and it seems to be working fine with 110 and 119 however, I am unable to get any internaltional channels on 61.5. If I use the older bin 415 from date 090111 I do get the 61.5 channels however I can only watch for 10-15 minuters before I get hit with ECM or "Scrammbled and bad channel". My questions is when you going to update code from 415 bin. It seem like we forgot to revise the bin 415 bin. since we do have the ECM fix with 312 bin why not apply to 415 bin that way all 110, 119 and 61.5 can be watched.
Thanks,
|

Re: International Channels on DN
A lot of the Intl. channels are in a state of flux right now, moving from one sat to another etc ... honestly, the changes are so frequent, its hard to stay on top of them all.
Periodic 'rescans' are likely the best way to go.

You are still missing the point it seems. I would not post my question and comment if I was intending to use it for true FTA, now would I!!!!
It is obvious what my comment was for. So forgive us for using our receivers for OTHER usage other than true FTA and please don't feel sorry for us if our receivers become USELESS for NON TRUE FTA use... I got the answer I was looking for, so you can worry about other things now.
