Here are the instructions on how to manually change the keys on your VS7000 PVR.

1) Go into the menu and select Installation and ok. "Enter pincode ????" box will appear.

3) You will now see an option at the bottom on the menu below Hard Disk called Code. Select this and hit ok.
4) Select Nagra then ok.
5) For DN scroll until you get to the 01 01 00 Nagra 2 screen (there is a 00 01 00 for N1 keys). For BEV use 09 01 00 For N2 keys.

Using Viewsat 7000 PVR here. Notice in Nagra 2, that BEV *now* has 4 entries:
<09 04 00>, <09 01 00>, <09 05 00>, and <08 01 00>. Am I correct in thinking that I have to change all four? Your sticky is an excellent tutorial, and helped me to get up and running pretty fast.
Again, thanks! :-)

From observing previous replies to similar problems, permit me to suggest:
Reinstall the original factory BIN, reset to fartory defaults, then install the latest bin. thereafter, you should be able to get to the "code" section in the new GUI.
HINT: In the *new* GUI scroll *sideways* till you get to 0901...
HTH,
:-)

Look at the *original* posting (by grashopper) at the top of this page: I don't think he can make the instructions any simpler or CLEARER than he already has done.
Also, It's a very good practice to start each visit HERE:
Forum Announcements, Changes, and Upgrades! - ABA DSS - Free to Air Satellite TV Community
This can save you time, and more importantly, you might even find that there has been a solution even *before* you post it!
You'll find excellent and quick help here, provided that you READ the rules and follow the regulations.
To start of on the right foot, DO take the time to read the following forums, paying PARTICULAR NOTE of the posts that are marked *sticky*.
1) ABA DSS - Free to Air Satellite TV Community
2) Newbies Start Here (Rules and Help) - ABA DSS - Free to Air Satellite TV Community

yes, they do. IIRC, you don't even have to enter the special password mentioned in the original post.

Re: How to VS7000 PVR manual key change
I have a program called VSKey. It apparantly gets the new keys and creates a file. Can this file be loaded to the Vs pvr7000 via usb? Also, when entering new keys, does one need to turn autoroll off?
