Grass or carp (anyone) What do you think of the pvr7000, is it worth the
money and what all does it do? Is the main feature - the ability to record
movies, are it there some other main features? Is it getting to close to the
change to mp4 to be investing a lot of money in receivers?

I hear the pvr are great not many issues they are all good from the reports i hear but i would wait until the new year they are all coming out with hd recievers and the pvr s will be right behind and all are increasing speeds up to 200mhz and better faster channel change search and larger chips for flasing .. i would wait just my opninion./.

also most are going to be using usb flash you can play mp3 etc who knows ??

there is no for sure on anything in this hobbie but with the support i would go with the viewsat pvr 7000 best support out there has been viewsat proven over and over ... but everything is a chance..

I am debating upgrading to a pvr 7000 from my VS 2000 Plat.I am having a hard time convincing myself to upgrade but it is getting easier with the more I read-lol.Thanks to everyone who has posted any info regarding the 7000.

Do the 7000 bins stay running as long as plat. bins do?Or when one viewsat goes down they all go?

I was looking at that exact unit on ebay for around $130.00 Can. dollars. I think that unit only accepts an external HD.I also have a wife and 10 year old,and was thinking,yes the above unit/ext.HD. is alot cheaper than the 7000 but,is the remote control jumping/*****ing/complaining/ worth the price difference for my sanity??
