Re: report your pvr results here.
Well I have a hitachi 250 gig HD. pretty easy to set up a recording from the guide but if not on the guide take a good bit longer. The main dialike you can not switch from tuner A to B or visa versa, the easiest way for this is to go to channel edit change tuner there. Would also love to be able to set up a recurring recording.

Re: report your pvr results here.
I am not very happy with the VS7000PVR at the present time. I am using a 500 gig Western Digital 7200 RPM drive with a 8 meg cache. Can not jump from back and forth between tuners. Once recording can not watch any channels that are not on the same TP even if you could jump to the second tuner. The auto scan and setup is not very auto and quite confusing. The manual is written in pigon english which says that the manufacture is not willing to pay for someone with a good understanding of English to correct their work. (what else are they cutting corners on?) The EPG is full of errors and doesn't work very well. The basic coding and user interface seems not very well thought out. As a software engineering employer...might I say everything seems very third worldish. The USB input is not well designed and next to useless compare to say the Coolsat 7000-7100. All in all my opinion of the VS7000PBR is that it was rushed to market and is not yet ready for "prime time". Perhaps they will get their act togather over the next several months.

Got my pvr along with it,s problems.
It looked real nice in all the ads about it, and being new to this I had no idea what I was in for.
Now I have it working somewhat I almost don,t dare mess with it.
Until I read what problems other people were having I thought it had to be me. First of all the manual was written by a Jackass.it only updates from the usb port when it feels like it, Whenever I scan it comes up a few channels short.
My program guide is a joke about half my channels say no information.
Now I realize I don,t know too much about FTA receivers but this has been the most confusing damm thing I,ve played with in a long time.

report you pvr results
vs pvr7K plays and recoreds and the recording is great but the epg has never loaded right after 2 years and still does not I have started over from scratch over and over still get about half no info. And was a bugger to set up unless you have experience with them skip this one. Would be great and love it if the epg worked but this seems to be the major bug with this box according to all I have read.

Re: report your pvr results here.
I simply hate the fact that no one can update these stbs via usb flash drive, I wish they would make an adapter to the usb data tranfer cable so that it can take a usb flash drive. Then we would'nt have to move these big clunckers everytime they need an update. EPG straight sucks and as well cannot change from tuner a or b while recording now thats F**ked. If I could find some unfortunate idiot I would shove it off on them in a heartbeat and buy a really nice PVR instead of having this anchor on my electronics shelf.

I Built a Favorite list that Included all of the channesl that i like to watch on a regular basis from both tunners (it is rasier to switch from inside the fav edit) I have dupes but I can record 2 different channels at the same time & sometimes watch a 3rd I use a maxtor 320 gig

1 way to change the tuner is to hit the ok button from regular viewing then the F1 key(top red button) to change tuner or F2 button(top green button) to change favorite list's
