Ok, VS7000PVR dish 500 dppro quad lnb's. Last Dec just after I was watching a recorded program and went to delete it all my channels but about 10 disappeared. It took forever over a month of loading old files and factory defaults to ever get it to pick up E7. Well guess what today as I was just finishing watching my recording all the channels are gone again. No signal on 7. I have a ultra hooked up to the same lnbs sitting next to the pvr and its good. Really really strange never figured out just what was wrong but its like a ghost...itssssssss baccckkkkkk....... any clues? Dish hasnt moved and again it has 2 cables coming in 1 was hooked up to tuner A the other tuner B when I got the ultra I sat it next to the pvr and 7 was good with no problem. Its good now. And I have switched the cables still the same. Have not changed any settings all are the same as it has been in the last year.

When you say disappeared do you mean No Channel-No Video, or just not rolling.

by dissappered I mean you pull up guide and they are just not there... but wait it gets better. I did a factory reset and reloaded bin, got the channels back but.... you can only watch them if you are in edit channels. They do not show up on guide and I have tried quide for echo7, echo8, all sats and dn. So if I look at a channel in edit channel mode then exit out it goes back to 100 or 467. can not scroll up or down to channels not listed on guide. these are the only channels that show or that I can watch. 100, 101, 103, 213,262,467,486,499, and 501. I have done a hard boot. swapped cables, check connections and just plain out of ideas.

You haven't mentionned that you loaded Factory Bin. Sounds like you need to Factory default>Load factory bin/Virgin Bin>then latest bin. But do it with the sat cable disconnected. When done reconnect sat cable> redo sat settings>rescan.
Don't forget, do not disconnect sat cable until rear switch is off and unit unplugged.

sorry forgot to mention that I have loaded the newest factory file and the latest bin

When you do factory default all, then you load the factory bin and reboot, try scanning in all the channels and see if the guide is working properly with only the factory bin.
