PVR7000 Will Not Boot

Hey all,

I downloaded and installed the improvement fix (PVRSW-080604A-II.zip). After it installed, the unit tried to reboot but now forever hangs on the "ON" notification on the display pannel and never reaches "BOOT". I tried unplugging everything for a while then plugging everything back in, but it never reaches "BOOT"....I even tried booting with the hard drive out to see if that worked....no luck!

Any help or advice as to how I can get this unit to boot again would be GREATLY appreciated.

Please Help!

Re: PVR7000 Will Not Boot

you're definitely going to have to try to load the factory file through serial cable, then load the latest bin,

I would try loading the factory bin and set it back original specs. Write down your Sat settings first, then load the factory file, then the newest bin, re-enter your sat settings and then scan the Sats again. let us know if this fixes you up...

Re: PVR7000 Will Not Boot

I just got a 7000 and I installed the latest factory bin and update and mine is also stuck in the 'on' position and will not boot up. Ive tried reinstalling the factory update and bin but it wont work is freezes usually at about 7%. How did you make out jmv25, did you figure your problem out?

Re: PVR7000 Will Not Boot

What was the fix for this problem? My PVR7000 did the same and if anyone have a solution, please advise. I did and checked pretty much all recommendations posted on forums with no success. Thanks for the help.
