Hello,
Do you know how to set up the HDD on a VS PVR7000?
I bought a 500GB HDD and it does not see it.
I took it back to the compuer store and they put it on master set but still does not work????
If anyone could help me that would be great.

Your computer will not see it. You have to install a usb loader program and then you can drag and drop the files with it.

no problem. I am stuck on a good satinfo file. I am not getting all the channles, just locals if you get past that let me know how, lol.

You should get it formated to fat32 first of all.
After that you'll be able to use it.

Thats sounds good but I don't know what fat32 is ???

Sorry your post wasn't able to be seen by others. To format to fat 32 right click on the thumbdrive without opening the files in it and you should see the option to format it.

I didn't mean my computer.
When I put the HDD in the viewsat and turned it on it says ( HDD did not connect or some problem occurred) I called viewsat and they can't help me.
The computer store set Jumper Setting as the Master but nothing is happening???

It doesnt matter.Plug it to your PC/laptop to usb and it'll be detected after that,
Go to windows explorer or my computer,right click on the HDD and format.
It'll open a dialog box where you can select fat/fat32.press start buttom and wait it finish.
plug it back to your reciver.
