Before you buy a viewsat, make sure you are getting the real deal.
The clone is 1/4 inch deeper and 1/4 of an inch smaller width wise, the decaling on the face plate is identical to the OEM, the depth of the faceplate is about 1/4 thinner than the OEM, Instead of a brushed silver metal accent there is mirror accent in place... with the same black casing as the OEM. The power switch is Horizontal compared to the OEM which is Vertical. Functionality is IDENTCAL to the OEM. After opening up the case you see the power supply connector to the PCB is different than the OEM. It weighs about a pound less, has stickers for the Extreme (or Platinum) and Viewsat names no VS logo between the Extreme and viewsat name, only one screw per side holding the top on, bottom has long slots not round holes for cooling, face plate about 1/4 inch thinner, paint was peeling off the top cover, none of the fonts on the front panel are the same as genuine box.and the front door opens. The back switch is also horizontal and on the Extreme there are no Y-Pb-
