help with directtv world direct international dish
hi guys i have this dish from DIRECTV with two LNBs to receive 101°W and 95°W satellites. i would like to know if i can use it to receive 91w and 97w just by switching the lnbs from its places for example move the 95w lnb to 101w and 101w to 95w.
thank you all in advance.
here are some pictures of the dish.

Re: help with directtv world direct international dish
I don't think you need to switch the lnbs to get 91 & 97. the circular one(the one at the left as u face your pc) is linear and its good for 97 w. The other one is circular lnb, which theoretically should work for 91 w. But i read some where that Drictv made this Lnb specifically to pick this sat. You may need to ckeck on that. Don't forget to skew the dish. Look at the chart that comes with the dish.

Re: help with directtv world direct international dish
i don't have the chart that comes with the dish.and by the way the one lnb on the left is circular and it is for 101 w and the other one on the right is linear and it is for 95w.if we are facing the pc and looking just at the lnbs not the whole dish.correct if i am wrong. because i read the back of the two lnbs.
so the question should i swhich them to get 91w and 97 w or not? and if so please tell me my skew number and my elevation.my zip code is 32836.
thank you all in advance.

Re: help with directtv world direct international dish
i boght this dish with one Lnb only. The linear one(the one on the left as u face your pc looking at the last picture>> the one with the lnbs only). and i'm using this dish to get 97 w. So i'm not sure if u are reading the correct lnb.

if we take out the words circular and linear from your discreption above those Lnbs are for 95 w and 101 w. so 95 w is like 91 w circular sat and 101 w is like 97 w linear sat. so go ahead give it a try before it gets dark and let us know what u get. Don't switch the Lnbs for now.

Re: Direct TV International channels help
This post may help you get what u want. It was posted by Dish Charlie back in 9/26/2008.
Sorry for the confusion and good luck.
That is a very useful 36" dish because it doesn't have a DAVE switch built-in. It is used by DAVE to receive 95W and 101W. The boresight LNB with the narrow face is for 95W and is a combo circular/linear that receives 11.4-12.2GHz. The LNB with the round face is for 101W, circular polarity and receives the standard DBS 12.2-12.7GHz. If you are lucky it will be an EagleAspen 32+.
This setup can be used to receive true FTA Russian channels from Galaxy25 97W using the 95W LNB. If you swap LNB positions, then you can receive Nimiq1 91W and 97W with a switch.
