1000.4 Info
I have a new 1000.4 dish with intergrated lnb. Does this setup work like the new 1000.2 lnb? Also is it worth the setup for the eastern arc? I do not know anyone that has this setup.
I value all input i receive on this site.......

Re: 1000.4 Info
the 1000.4 does not work very good with fta ,, the lnb spacing is not the same as the 1000.2,,also the sats that it is made for is all N3 ,,therefore wont work , u can re aim the dish,,but u can only use 1 lnb ,,,so it will work as an single lnb dish ,, u can replace the lnb with the dpp triple lnb the 1000.2 uses ,, both dishes are the same,,just the lnb is different

Re: 1000.4 Info
From what I understand the 1000.4 will not work with FTA. But I might be wrong. The problem with the 1000.4 it is very low on power to LNB. But keep checking around I might be wrong...

Re: 1000.4 Info
Ok, another question!
I have A DTV dish w/the new cateye 5 lnb. Can i sub this dish with the 1000.2 lnb? I know this is a larger dish. I prefer this size dish over the 1000.2 dish. I think with the cateye 5 lnb i could only use this as a single.

Re: 1000.4 Info
1000.2 defaults to diseqc 1.0 settings as following :
port 1 = 119
port 2 = 110
port 3 = 129
u will need these numbers when u go to set up the dish and the box

Re: 1000.4 Info
So i can use the larger dish with the 1000.2 lnb? The dish is a little larger than the orignal 1000.2 dish.

The relative position of the individual positions of the 1000.2 LNB eyes are designed for the 1000.2 dish. A larger dish may give better results for the middle LNB but worse for the other 2 eyes as they are optimized for another dish size and arm lenght.

Re: 1000.4 Info
i would stick with the 1000.4 dish,, both the 1000.2 and the 1000.4 use the same size of dish,, and i have heard people swapping out the 1000.4 lnb and using the 1000.2 lnb with no issues,,,using the dave dish,,as s2byus states,,may not work,,or u may not get optimum quality using the dave dish ,,due to the focal points it is set up for, for its cat eye lnb set up ,,also the dish arm that the holder attaches too,, may be of different length then the 1000.4 dish

Re: 1000.4 Info
Ok, thanks for all the input. I measured the arm lenghts & the larger dish arm is around 1.5" longer. I will use the 1000.4 dish.
I figured the larger the dish the better the signal!
Thanks bunches for ya"lls help on this issue!
I Salute You Guys!!
