What to use
Here’s my situation, I am planning to purchase 1000.2 dishes (for HD) and to my understanding it has three outputs for three receivers. Unfortunately, I have only one input available from outside of my home (two story) that is connected into a media center located in my closet. So, is there a switch, dish, etc, that my work for my situation?

You will need to run seperate cables to watch different programs on each STB to each room where you have the STB's...

I do know every room has a cable drop that is terminated into my media center located downstairs closet. Yet, there’s only one coaxial cable coming from outside into my media center. The goal is to avoid running additional cable (running cable into my media center can be nightmare). But it appears that’s the only way for now. My saga continues.
