NFusion and Verizon Modem
I am thinking about purchasing a NFusion reciever. Can you use this reciever with a 3g wireless usb modem?? I've seen several hook up diagrams all with conventional cable modems. Can someone answer this before I spend my hard earned money. Thanks in advance!!!

Re: NFusion and Verizon Modem
Can you connect that modem to a router?
If so, how?

Re: NFusion and Verizon Modem
I cannot connect this modem to a router....only has one usb port. Surrealone's post sounds feasible to me......I'm going to go ahead and order the nfusion and try it...kinda worries that in a month or so I'll have to anyway!..............

I'd do a bit more homework ... before voting with your wallet.

Re: NFusion and Verizon Modem
look into network sharing then send it to a gateway unit then send that to a router.
Keep a router in your plan.

Did you find a router that works with the Nfusion? I have spent 3 days trying to get my Nfusion to connect to the internet. I tried a direct Nfusion to PC with crossover cable. The Nfusion says "internet and suns connected" but nothing happens, no channels. Tomorrow I'll try to buy the one 3G router I saw. I'm in Mexico and without driving an hour to Guadalajara, I'm short on choices.

Re: NFusion and Verizon Modem
There is a router out there that will work with Verizon. They sell between $125 and $150. They have a usb port. They have them at Best Buy...Or you can saveyour money...There is a way you can bridge your computer(I am not sure how yet) And then come out of your computer to a router, You are going to use your computer as the modem...I was told there is a video on you tube...You can check it out..I thought about asking the same question on here...I have the same internet...After doing alot of research and talking to people this was what I had found....I have not tried it yet because I am waiting things out for just awhile. Please let us know how things turn out.

Re: NFusion and Verizon Modem
If you get a IP address and SUNS connected tapped between PC and nFusion then getting channels must be a software, Sat aiming, LNB settings or TP modification issue.

No, all other settings are correct. I get "service not available." The software thinks everything is connected but there is no real communication. I have to have a mobile broadband router to connect the Nfusion with it's Ethernet and a 3G modem with a USB connection. There are several available that will work but I am in Mexico and electronics are very expensive here and I have to order on-line or drive to Guadalajara which is a very large, complicated and congested city. This has been very difficult because there is so little information for those who use 3G internet connection.

Re: NFusion and Verizon Modem
pameladelafield;
We both know that N3 is equal to A**3
And what works this hour may not the next.
Good Sat reception is obvious on you scans and is necessary without any software updates or LAN connections.
Could you give me some info about your Sat reception etc?
Maybe we should look at one Sat at a time, preferred is 91.0w or 82.0w but you pick any one that you think you’re getting a strong signal.

Re: NFusion and Verizon Modem
This may sound crazy but, check the RJ-45 in back of the nFusion and make sure it's plugged in. Also, set the box for DCHP and you should be good to go.
I use Verizon and D-link, works just fine.

I'm pointed at 119 and 110. Quality and signal are in the 80's which is good for my location. The problem (I think) is I thought I could go cheap and not buy a router and hook directly to my computer with crossover. I could be installing the network incorrectly. Until I buy a mobile router hopefully today, it's hard to tell without the correct equipment.

Re: NFusion and Verizon Modem
I use a simple DI-604, found in most places for around 30 bucks.

Please explain how you hooked it up to use your 3G internet with the DI-604?
