Need help choosing FTA kit what to buy in Cali
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction.
I have a neosat ipro box and an nfusion box. I need a FTA dish and to what bird to point it to.
I'm in Los Angeles, CA. I need actual Free to Air and not charlie.
What kind of dish should I buy. I would prefer something motorized if possible to hit more than one bird when needed.
What would you guys recommend and where to buy it?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Garifo.

A min of a 30 inch with a duel circular/linear lnb. Just hold on you will get some way better answers.

Re: Need help choosing FTA kit what to buy in Cali
like bobo states, minimum 30" dish and a popular 2-way LNB (both linear & circular) is the Ku Lnb Invacom Qph-031; it provides 2 ports for circular / 2 for linear; add a motor and you have a professional solution for both FTA and Charlie to grow on;

Re: Need help choosing FTA kit what to buy in Cali
As everone else has suggestes at least a 30" dish with motor and Invacom Qph-031 LNB. I would like to add that if you can swing it a bigger dish, 39" to a 1.2 meter and for TRUE FTA, a Coolsat 4-6000 along with Fortec or Traxis stb. Fairly cheap and much easier for true FTA.
If you check craigslist, along the road, yard sales, etc probably get a dish for almost nothing. Welcome aboard.

Re: Need help choosing FTA kit what to buy in Cali
Also, there is a true fta forum here at ABADSS.
Check out Bill of Oz's posts, especially his stick with installing a motor.
Being in LA, I bet you can score a high quality dish for next to nothing. The DN & DTV dishes don't work well for Tfta.
AFA the LNB, if you only want Tfta I would recommend getting just getting a linear lnb. Check a site sponsor's site & you'll learn more. Also, google hypermegasat. They have sold equipment to a number of us.
