What do I have?
Hey guys my dad gave me a dish500, lnb's, and some switches. Can someone tell me what this setup was used for? All I want to do with it, is point it at 61.5. Here is a picture I took.

Re: What do I have?
Looks like Dual Legacy LNB's on a Dish 500 unit.

Re: What do I have?
Most likely used for 110/119. It should work for you.

Re: What do I have?
Yeah it was used for 119/110, but if I am only going to point at 61.5 and use only one receiver, then I dont need the switches and I only need to use one of the lines coming from one of the lnb's...right?

Re: What do I have?
If only 1 receiver and 1 sat no switch needed. That most likely is a sw21 switch I believe. It should say something on the switch.

Re: What do I have?
Point the LNB at 61.5 and connect it to your receiver.

Re: What do I have?
if you just want 61.5 i suggest take the y-yoke off and just put 1 lnb on the arm and point toward 61.5

Yes they are sw21 switches, if these lnb's are dish pro's will they have a dp logo on them?

Re: What do I have?

once you take the screw out to take the y-yoke off then use it to attach the lnb to the arm
it would just make pointing alot easier

Re: What do I have?
Hooking up 1 lnb will also give you a spare just in case.

Re: What do I have?
Ok, so all I am going to be left with is one lnb, and using only 1 line and port from the lnb, and no switch..right?

Re: What do I have?
Invest into a DiSEqC switch for versatility. The ECODA brand seems to be the most robust.
