Did I just fry my reciever???!!!
Here is a newbie bonehead move for ya. Found this great site (here) got all motivated to get this going. (bought receiver 6 months ago) Take it out of the box, I have a Sonic View 360 Premier, swap the old ant. wire from tv (too far for DTV) to receiver, hook up old d500 with Dish plus LNB, oooooh the excitement builds!!!! Cant figure out why I get a mild signal with the dish not even connected. Realize I have an inline power booster for the old ant. Take out power booster. Not even a blip on the signal meter. Well..................Did I fry it? I pulled the cover looking for a fuse. Not there.

Re: Did I just fry my reciever???!!!
The dish should be pointed at the original Dish site. I checked 119 and 110 when I ran a scan. It check all the The scan checked 21 transponder settings and the LNB says 11250.

Re: Did I just fry my reciever???!!!
Files you need to load if you haven't already are:
1 http://www.abadss.com/forum/323-sv80...xed010809.html
2 http://www.abadss.com/forum/960-sv-3...xed010809.html
3 if you have an ihub you will need this file:
http://www.abadss.com/forum/960-sv-3...xed010809.html
Load in this order, then set your setting as listed by BigEvil69, then scan your sats.

Re: Did I just fry my reciever???!!!
I want to thank you all. You helped me up after tripping over my first hurdle. Currently my reciever says I am reading USB, it has been saying that for about 10min. I will keep trying to find that sat as soon as I get this stuff loaded.
