LNB freq. ?
I have 2 Viewsats and I just got a SV8000 w/Mod. Only have the SV and 1 VShooked up. I am getting both Bev and E*3 E*7 E*8 and Ceil 2. I have a DPP 500 for Bev. I have a 1000.2 head on a DTV Slimline and a old Dave dish for E*3. I have a DPP44 for the the E's running into an Ecoda SW22 with the BEV dish hooked in also. Thats not really my problem. Settings below.
119
LNB type: OCS-DP
LNB freq:11200 Q is 90 on 12239 and at 11250 Q is 90 but only gets a couple channels.
Disq: 1
110
LNB type: OCS-DP
LNB freq:11250 Q=97 all chan.
Disq. 2
129
LNB type: OCS-DP
LNB freq: 11200 Q=90 11250 Q=56 and few channels
Disq 3
61.5 is all good
91 ok
82 ok
My question is how is the Freq. different? Is my LNB going bad? 119 is the worst. I can go through the trans. on 11250 with little Q. flip the Freq. and get signal on most of the TP have Q. I can usually figure this stuff out but this has me stumped.

Re: LNB freq. ?
LNB freq depends on the type of LNB you are using.....it has absolutely nothing to do with the satellite your aiming at.....
LNB freq will be marked on the LNB itself as "LO"
LO 11.25 = LNB freq 11250
LO 10.75 = LNB freq 10750
LO 10.6 = LNB freq 10600
etc etc etc.....these are just examples.....there is never a reason or need to change this setting......

Re: LNB freq. ?
So Im guessing that the LNB is going bad? LIke I said I can change the Freq. and get a different number of channels from 11250 and 11200 and 11000.

Re: LNB freq. ?
if you can
run 1 cable from the lnb for 110/119/129 straight to a receiver and see if you have the same results

Re: LNB freq. ?
The LO (Local Oscillators) can drift ...you made an appropriate compensation for the drift.

Re: LNB freq. ?
I guess I figured it out. I unpluged everything. Ran straight from STB to 1000.2 LNB and it wont power it. Kinda figured that. The only receiver I have that will power it solo is a MaxHD and my dads Phoenix (suprised). Long story short is that I come to the conclusion that the sub I had hooked up to the power inserter was not playing nice.

Having a sub hooked up was not listed....depending on config subs can override even while off (been there, done that).....Normally if you have a sub hooked to port1 of the DPP44 then you are golden. If you don't then use the power inserter on port one.

i would bet money right now that the receiver you used to try this was a sonicview......they are known for weak power to the LNBs

I forgot it was on. I had it running with the 2 VS and it was ok. Its stuffed under everything on the bottom. Now I know.

Yes it was the SV. It would work for about 20 seconds and then go dead.
