Re: i need a sugestion on which box should i buy
There are currently three options. Kbox with Khub, Sonicview with Ihub, and Nfusion. I have a Kbox and has the best uptime out of the three.

Re: i need a sugestion on which box should i buy
I would go with the NFusion. If price is no factor I would go for the HD unit. Or else Phoenix. You will not regret it.
They are the pioneers in IKS Solutions.

Re: i need a sugestion on which box should i buy
The way it is looking I am leaning to Nfusioin HD unit unless Sonicview Ihub gets allot better. I want a receiver that has the external hard disk option which the Nfusion HD and the sonicview offers. It's loooking like the channel options are changing by the hour so, I'm not quite ready to jump yet... but soon!

Re: i need a sugestion on which box should i buy
1. Sonicview+iHub has gotten much better with the new iHUB upgrade bin and the new file. Hardly any freezing if any at all.
2. Sonicview had the longest standing fix before N3, from Jan.8 till June and probably longer had N3 not come around.
3. After word on what's heppening with Nova...is getting Nfusion really a good idea?
4. Sonicview usually came out with new files before anybody else.
5. If not mistaken, Nfusion is mostly IKS and not standalone type box meaning if you don't have internet service, Nfusion is basically usless.
6. Nfusion has had IKS services available longer than SV but SV is quickly becoming better and better and the down time is usually to add new channels, etc...
In all honesty...I'd wait a little longer to see if an N3 fix will become available at which time, if it does become available...there might be other options for you.
You have to look at all the angles....
1. Do you want to have to be connected to the internet all the time?
2. If a cardless(N3) fix is made available...
3. If money is no object, HD capabilities...
4. Down time between fixes...
Etc...
Before I bought my SV, I owned Captiveworks....everytime we went down, I noticed the list of receivers that were up and those that were down, I noticed Nfusion and SV were almost always up, I was leaning heavily towards Nfusion till I found out that it is mostly IKS while at the time, SV was cardless.
Now that the Ihub was made available...I was glad I went with SV over NF.
Hopefully, when and if an N3 fix is made available for cardless....I hope SV keeps it's iHUb program running which will then make it the handsdown best option available for our Hobby.
Of course, this is all only my opinion.

NF Phoenix $200 delivered. No freezing, multiple providers, one file upgrades, integrated ethernet-no dongles, etc. SV might have a special event, but can their servers handle anticipated demand?

And once N3 is hacked...will Nfusion make a cardless fix available?

I doubt it, why would they need to. SUNS is more stable and trouble-free than any stand alone. IF you need stand-alone then forget about Nfusion. If you need a PVR, then forget about Phoenix, but the NF HD has a nice PVR.
Define your needs and find the right fit. Nf's were engineered for certain market segments. If you are just passing time until a stand-alone bin comes out you should factor a sub into the equation. It's going to take a few months for us to get back to the good old days of N2.

Re: i need a sugestion on which box should i buy
Stick with Kbox or Sonicview...i would wait a bit longer and see if any standalone fixes are released for other boxes like the captive works or viewsat. Nfusion as "poineers" in IKS are far behind now.
edit...just reading some other posts, nothing is better then a working standalone fix. Nfusion has no option for that, sonicview and kbox can both run off a bin file once they are released, meaning no more connecting to a server.

Nfusion is the most stable system out there right now. Two providers, no PPV or porn, but anticipated.

Not the most stable, not even close. But it is a pioneer and the team behind the scenes are quite skilled. Just need to show again what made them the best at one time. But this thread is not a debate between you and me, so good luck with nfusion and all the best my friend.

Very good question, personally I have a sv360 elite with IHUB the perfomance is less than steller, you don't know if the server is up or down you don't know if youy have it right or wrong. Some have no trouble and others are pulling there hear out. I once had a picture and it went out when a new patch just came out (104)- vo209 using the new formula it has been a bust so I say save your money until you see a fix from Charlie out

Re: i need a sugestion on which box should i buy
Kbox is no longer a coolsat chassis, they have completely overhauled there models and it has nothing to do with a coolsat anymore. They had a free upgrade program to replace first edition kbox hero's boxes. Anyone who had one could exchange it free for a Kbox Hero's Plus edition.

SV is one of the best in the business right now....so is Viewsat...everyone else are followers....
Just keep this in mind...with SV, you will have 2 options(after N3 fix) to watch TV....IKS and cardless.
In cardless, SV was the best over the past 6 months(only needed one fix), while all others were going down like flies every week to every month.
Right now, their IKS is still in Beta stage but I have already noticed a tremendous difference since the latest iHub update and file. I have had zero freezing today on DN.
Being able to go cardless would be the seller for me, especially since SV was on top of the game in that department...add to that if and when you need IKS again(after N3fix), SV would still be able to handle that.
SV8000HD is a great box from what I hear. I have the 360 premiere and it's working great right now.
If not mistaken, SV currently has more working channels.

Re: i need a sugestion on which box should i buy
It all depends on what you want to watch but I would wait until they crack the N3 or they come up with new receivers that would be Compatiblebut its all up to you..................we just really don't know what the future holds.........the last thing you need is for you box to go out and wont be able to use it................................
Welcome back and please dont leave its good to pop your head ones in a while ......
