Re: Dish 1000.4?
it should work just fine since those are mirrored sats
meaning the same programming just one set is for easier access to the eastern side of the US

Re: Dish 1000.4?
dish 1000.4 does not point and can not point at 110/119/129.
it points at 61.5°W, 72.7°W, and 77°W.

Re: Dish 1000.4?
y0da is correct. tThe 1000.4 is setup such that it will point to and pick up 72.7W, 77W and 61.5W meant for the Eastern sky.
It is the 1000.2 that is meant for 119W, 110W and 129W.

Re: Dish 1000.4?
what he is asking is if the 1000.4 which will be pointed at the eastern arc work the same way as the dishes he has pointed at 110/119/129
and the answer is yes it will
he is not stating that he wants to point the 1000.4 at 119/110/129

Re: Dish 1000.4?
Now that confusion has set in here, I think you are asking will the
dish 1000.4 work on 110/119/129 and the answer is no. The LNB
alignment is not the same separation. One of the LNB can be used
however.
Way I see it is the STB are not pointing at 110/119/129 so you must
mean the dish 1000.4. Having said that, the settings will be the same
for 61.5/72.7/77 as they are for 110/129. Remember the Ultra Lite
is not a HD STB.
You should post back and ask your question again.

Let me reask the question, I live in NYC and having dish as a sub. I ordered a hd package. The dish they are going to put up is a 1000.4 and the way they are going to install it... will the way they installed the dish will it work for my viewsat max HD and ultra lite or should I have them set up my old dish 500 plus?

Re: Dish 1000.4?
Dish 1000.4 is for the Eastern Arc 61.5, 72.7 and 77W locations. The
LNB is an enclosed unit meaning all 3 LNB are set in place. I am unable
to attach a picture to show you the dish or LNB assembly.
But you can understand the separation are not the same as for 110,
119 and 129W locations.
The way they are going to install it, they will align the dish for those
three locations as the dish 1000.4 was designed for. When they set
it up, your MAX HD will work using that dish and LNB as long as your
antenna settings are ok. As was said make them same as you would
for 110 or 129.
Because Eastern Arc are MPEG 4 HD 8PSK the Ultra Lite won't work in
this set up. If you want the D500P hooked up and aimed at 110/119
then that is ok also. You can have both these arrangements using
a switch(s).
Remember that E/Arc are all Nagr3a at this time.
Having said all that and as an example if you want 61.5 on the MAX
or any HD STB, for now, you have to set it up using 129W satinfo. I
would have to check 72.7 and 77 for you and get back.
Hope this helps.

Re: Dish 1000.4?
I think now I understand what you are asking. I posted the 1000.2 early on for an example. I have updated it with some old info and edited the original post I made. I am going to post some info that Cdo care posted on 1000.4 setup for you. I am not familiar with the actual programs on these sats, but I will post you the lyngsat link for you to look at. It will tell you what is on each sat and how many channels. Here is the Lyngsat link for each...
EchoStar 3 at 61.5°W - LyngSat
EchoStar 6 at 72.7°W - LyngSat
EchoStar 8 at 77.0°W - LyngSat
Here is the setup link for you to look at...
http://www.abadss.com/forum/1012-dis...ion-guide.html
You can also get the Dish Pro Plus and have them install it, it has all the main Dik net channels, if Nag 3 gets cracked. You can also feed another dish into the LNB IN on the DP Plus and have extra dish fed using the same coax that is used with 110, and 119. Sorry I misunderstood your original question and led everyone astray. Thanks Priestmill for your understanding to get us all straight...
