i dont think what sat you point to matters...but it does have that 3x2 switch which makes it nice...i helped a friend get one up with 110/119/91..and we used no switch
I have looked all over the forums for an answer and could not find it. This is the set up I have at home with two subs. Can I remove a sub and use one of the cables with an FTA receiver and if so what setting would I use? Thanks in advance.
Yes you can... both lines carry both sat's 110 and 119. Just go to the menu settings and set both 110 and 119 individually. You should scan both sat's separately and you don't have to specify disec settings. There isn't one being used...
Grasshopper,
Can I hook the reciever feeds into a DP34 and run two DP301' and my Visionsat out of my DP34 receiver ports. My understanding is that the Dish Plus LNB's and DP34 are true Disec. I know the LNB's have switches built in. I am picking up DN 110 and 119 on a Dish 500 through a DP34 to three DP301's. I just wanted to run the FTA off the switch until I Get the 31" dish with the Invacom Quad LNB, with a motor set up. I wanted to learn the box and then introduce the motorized dish.
GH,
I may have answered my own question by reading your all about switching post. I verified that I have a dual DPP LNB feeding 3 ea DP301's via a DP34. Based on your post the DPP LNB is not true Diseqc so I'm guessing my FTA won't play well. As soon as you confirm I'll open the wallet and have the 33" + motor setup dispatched.
I also have the same set up at home with two subs, but I have 110, 119, and 61.5. I took one of the subs out and connect the 3500sd and it didn't work. I got signal and only got two birds in. I also had a hard time switching from 110 to 119 or vise versa. Can this be done and if so what are the settings?

I believe the only switch that will work with the DPP is a 44. I have the manual on the DPP and I will check it out.
To answer another question I read in this post. I believe the third lnb cannot be linier. I am not sure on that.
How can you go to three or 4 receivers with this setup?
My setup is similiar, but currently i have a disppro quad pointing to 110/119, want to catch 91. I have a single dish pro lnb just sitting around doing nothing. I do have the exact LNB grass is showing above, but it is not hooked up because i have three receivers i need to go to. So I guess what I am asking is how do I use an existing dish pro quad (pointing at 110/119 currently) with a separate single dish pro lnb? I have the neccessary bracket to catch all three birds. What type of switch do I need to use since the switch is already built into the quad? Kind of confusing, but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

dish pro 34 , or 44plus will work, or find switch. that you can use if you read these, they read 34 (3x4) 44 (4x4) you will need one that has 3x4 3 meaning 3 sats and 4 meaning how many outputs for recvrs hope this helps
