If 2 wires are coming out of the dish (110 & 119) how are they tied to gether so I have one receiver wire? As it stands I am only getting signal with 110 nomatter what lnb I use.
Although it is a common to think this dish does not work with a FTA Receiver of any type, this thinking is wrong, after testing, It is possible to run as many as 4 receivers of any type off this system, 119/110/129.
You will also need a Dp44 Switch, or this will not work, nor have enough power to move the LNBs to Vertical/Horizonal points.
Here is all the information you need to get started:
1) first after mounting the Dish vertical, with a level.
2) setup 119.0w with the second output connection, run your cable to your unit only(alone) for setup.
3)connect this cable to port 1 of the Dp44 switch, which should be mounted within 2 feet of the first unit you plan on using, also hookup the power supply on the Dp44 switch.
4) after you have 119.0w locked into your receiver, its time to add the additional birds.
5) connect the cable 110.0w to port 2, on the DP44 switch, and setup the antenna settings, you should follow the Baiscs of (OSC-Dp) on all these Birds.
6)connected the cable to 129.0w to port 3 of the DP44 switch, and follow again the setup. Remembering to Skew the dish, to tweak the dish as you go, a (satellite meter) will help you do this. But is not required.
7) also this Dish1000.2 has a additional port to hookup (1) more additional Dish, this dish also need to have a Dp Single LNB, or it will not function correctly.
8)If you use a 18X24 Single Dp LNB on an older dish. This can be connected
(1) way, because the (port in) on the LNB is normally (Disabled), without a Hardware upgrade.
9) Connect the additional LNB dish, possible pointed at 61.5w, to port 4 of the Dp44 switch, and finish your antenna setup.
10) Antenna Setup as follows:
Port 1---119.0w, OSC-Dp Type 12239 diseqc none
Port 2---110.0w, OSC-Dp Type 12224 diseqc none
Port 3---129.0w, OSC-Dp Type 12282 diseqc none
Port 4---61.5w, OSC-Dp Type 12297 diseqc none
Since this is a Dish (pro), you are using the PRO Techology, please make sure you follow the information posted in this thread.
When connected to the Dp44 switch, it is totally possible to run 4 FTA units from this system, it has been tested as does work.
I hope this will answer any questions you might have on this type of Dish.
OK. Just to be sure, I need a DP44 switch to be able to get the 3 sat(110,119,129) for a 3 stb set up. I'm sorry but I thought that the 1000.2 had internal switches and no switches needed? I wanted to do a direct connect like the DP Quad? Lost?

Well guys,
I was getting ready to get a switch but decided to try it per Woodcreaker and Tom's advice. I don't know if I still need a switch. I recalibrated my dish. The setting from sat caluator was 4-5 degrees off on the elevation and azu. I used port 2 and found 7 which was the sat I was having problems with. After fine tuning on 7 I then skewed to find 8 and 129'. It's working great on all my stb 1 8000hd,visionsat 200 and a vs plat 200. I don't know wht the switch is for but so far so good. So as of now I guess a switch is not needed.
I just replaced a dish 500 quad for this 1000.2. I wanted to connect the 500 to the 1000.2 but I couldn't convince the powers that be. My dish is in the front of the house. It wouldn't look good. Anyways I got 110,119 and 129. I'm happy!!
Basically, with the DishPro 1000.2 LNB, there's no need for an external switch if you are using 3 or less receivers... if you want 4 or more outputs, then a DP34 with external power assistance, for 3 sats, or... a DP44 for 4 sats, may be the ticket. DP44 is the way to go with this LNB.
Out of the box, this LNB is good for 3 sat's to 3 receivers, or 4 sats to 3 receivers if you connect a DishPro LNB to port 4.
so,if you want to hang a dish for bev 91.just put a dp dual (not a dp twin) on that dish and connect to the lnb in port of the dish 1000.2
like the pic says all birds will be set to dish pro.(OCS-DP)
lnb freq= 11250 for all 3 birds.
echo 7 (119) = diseqc port 1
echo 10.11 (110) = diseqc port 2
echo 5 (129) = diseqc port 3
if you add:
your 4th DP lnb (but not a twin) = diseqc port 4
now if you want to use a KU band linear bird like 97w or 123w etc,etc you will use a DP FSS lnb.and you would set your lnb freq to 10750.
3 stbs with 3 or 4 birds with no switches this way.
its when you need more birds/stbs you need to start adding switches.
Thanks for the info, I did exactly that and I am getting 110,119 and 129. "you're the man". Now what can I do to get 82,91,110,119,and 129 all on the same dish? what lnbs and bracket do I need?

grab a dish 500 for these birds.
82w is mostly hd.
if you have a standard stb, just use a dp dual for 91w and plug it into the lnb IN port of the 1000.2 dpp lnb.
if you have an hd stb.you will want a dpp44 i suppose, but im not much of an expert on these kind of setups.i don't take much time to read up on switches,i get board way to easy trying to learn as i just can't seem to get interested enough.i will try and take just 5 mins a day to really start learning some more basics and things on the dpp44 and combining dpps and dp lnbs, this way i can help you guys a bit more with some of the more basic combos.i hope some others beat me to it tho lol.
i get 119/110/129/61.5/148/91/82 and i do this with dppp44 w/p inserter, dp34, ecoda 22khz, 1000.2, dp500 twin, 2 dn300 with dual lnbs (dish farm). Its flawless and this setup gives you the option to run 4 stbs with those existing switches.
