1000.2 Stupid question

I recent bought 1000.2 with HD8000. 1000.2 has totally four port, port 1-3 label as 1,2,3 and the fourth one label as LNB In. My question is which port should plug in to my receiver from 1000.2. Do I have to buy a switch to get 110, 119, 129? I know 1000.2 is switch build-in. IE, if I use port 1 on 1000.2, do I have all three birds.

no you don't need any switch the dish 1000.2 is build in switch so you just need to plug cable streight from the lnb to the receiver and you will get 110/119/129. asuming you pointed in the right direction

You meant plugged 1,2, or 3 to reciever right? not LNB In right?

As TINLARIN stated, the switch is built-in and Ports 1, 2, 3 can each connect to a receiver for 110/119/129. The LNB terminal is for an additonal LNBF. You may want to get a dual-band LNBF for 118.7W which has VTV4.

Also, Dont plug an extra DP lnb into the LNB in port unless you have at least two receivers connected to ports 1 and 2 or 3. The 1000.2 starts drawing 600ma's when the LNB port is used and your receiver can only supply 500ma max. You will need to use a DPP 44 switch if you want an extra sat. It has a power injector. Also the built in Diseq switch in the 1000.2 will disable itself when a 44sw is connected so you would have to connect ports 1,2 and 3 to the switch inputs 1,2 and 3. Then connect the extra DP LNB to the #4 input on the switch. Fun Fun Fun!!
If you only have one box and only want 119,110 and 129. Just plug directly into port 1 of the 1000.2 and you should be fine..
