Horizontal and Vertical?

I am having an issue with missing channels and i have a feeling it has something to do with the h & v tps. I noticed while scanning on 119w it shows a good signale through all tps but on 110w at about 23 of 32 it loses signal and never regains throughout the rest of the tps. Anyone have any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated. I have a DN 500 dish pro plus with single cable connected to a CW800s. Signal and strength both over 80.

Re: Horizontal and Vertical?

how many you getting for each sat? If you think your not getting all of them you may want to try a blind scan! It will take a little while longer to do a blind scan but it may help

Re: Horizontal and Vertical?

More important is the quality you get with both sats. Check your quality level on 110 the higher the better you need at least 60% or more. Try to fine tune your dish check the skew.

if after u have done everything suggested and it is still not fully working u had better try another lnb take them off and reverse them and see if u r losing tp on other sat then that will prove it was the lnb.

Re: Horizontal and Vertical?

I have never had good luck with a DP Pro PLUS LNB. It is better to use a DP Pro LNB for FTA. You will get much better quality and signal strenth.

The Dish pro Plus is GOOD. Im using Dish pro plus and i love it. I think your problem is your Mast. Make sure it is 90 degree so you will not mis the other tp freq. i experience this b4.

Re: Horizontal and Vertical?

Maybe I am doing something wrong, I'm going to get that DP Plus LNB out and give it another try. Than again maybe there is something wrong with the LNB I have?????? You got me wondering now. Just to be sure we are talking about the same thing the LNB has DP Plus on it and looking at the 119 side it has the connection for 119 and 110, and on the 110 side it has a connection for LNB in. Is this what you guys have too?

Yeah that is the one.. sorry i have not had a chance to work on this or check back here in a while. Work is killing me this and last week. I switched from the 119 output to the 110 and i get the same results. I am thinking maybe my skew is off or i am only picking up 119. I have noticed my dish is pointing more to the west than some others around were i live. When i find the time i will go back to square one and try and pinpoint the sats a little better. Thanks to all of you for your help. And i will update with my findings.
