Dish direction?
Hey guys since I have become knee deep in this fta stuff, I can't help but notice who has a dish on top of their house. Something I notice is who has d/n and who dtv, I also noticed that it seems some people's dishs' are pointed in a different direction than mine, shouldnt they all be pointed in the same general direction?

yes and now i think, im almost positive they are mostly paid subscribers which means they are more than likely pointed at 119/110, which is what im pointed at and theirs are pointed in a different direction

Re: Dish direction?
I consider extreme cases of mis-pointed dishes as an indication they are no longer being used. I try to catch the neighbor outside and ask if he/she wants the dish removed. I have a growing collection.
On the other hand, most DN subs have a Twin pointed at 110-119, but some sub to the older International Channels at 148W and that looks out-of-whack.

Re: Dish direction?
It all depends on what they subscribe to. DN customers range from 61.5 all the way to 148. Most of the internationals are either on 61.5, Anik F3 or 148. SO you can see that they could be pointing upto 40deg on either side of 110.
