motor install questions.....
i installed my SG2100 on my 36 inch fortec star today.....things went pretty well.....i spent alot of time making sure the pole is perfectly level.....actually did that part last week, but double checked things.....
mounted the motor and dish today and hooked everything up.....
signal quality readings.....91, 110, and 119 i get great signals on at 85+
82 the reading is a bit lower at about 75
when i went to 129 the Q is very low 20-40
what needs to be adjusted??
i think my arc is too low at the top

Re: motor install questions.....
try to split the diff in sig quality sat 91/82 are going to be a little low on sig 119/110/129 will be better but if you get a good quality on 91 then your sig will be low on 119etc.
so just split the diff. and enjoy you should try to hit 123 for the times when the bins are slow getting out. enjoy, i like my motor setup almost the same as you have.

thanks....i am def going to hit 123 but cant get it at the moment.....i think i know what the problem is now.....my motor itself is not aimed properly.....
when i drive it to 82W using USALS it goes slightly west of 82.....so i think i need to swing the motor and dish a bit east.....
will try this afternoon, weather permitting

Re: motor install questions.....
okay i moved the motor and the dish and it has improved alot.....
my highest bird is 79W....all circular birds to the west i get perfect signals on 90-100Q (91, 110, 119, 129)
when i go to the east to 61.5 the signal is not as good but im willing to settle for it (50-60Q)
now the problem is the liear birds....i cant even get 123W.....i can get 97W and 79W but the Q is very low (20-30)
am i doing something wrong with the skew?.....i thought the LNB should just be at 0 degrees (no skew).....doesnt the dish take care of the skew?.....or should i be skewing the LNB ????
