Hey! need help with new dpp44 switch
I am getting good signal but no quality.
Pansat 9200HD
Dish 1000.2 dish pro
diseqc #1 sat 119
diseqc #2 sat 110
diseqc #3 sat 129
using the power inserter
I can't do blind scan or sat scan due to no quality signal but when I diconnect the multi switch and connect directly using the cable from the sat 119 feed I get all channels with very good signal and quality.
What's up! What am i doing wrong. I checked all settings and followed all the instructions correctly.
Is it setting error or can it be a defective switch?
Thanks for your help!

Make sure your settings are 100 % correct and that you have signal on each eye first then go into the switch.

Re: Hey! need help with new dpp44 switch
try connecting just 1 reciever at a time and 1 cable at a time. If the first cable doesnt work try another and then the other

Re: Hey! need help with new dpp44 switch
Thanks guys! Yes the power inserter is connected to 1 of 4 the receivers and I did connect according the DPP 1000.2 LNBF illustration but I did not check each eye to verify signal strength. I will do that and check back with my progress.
Thanks again really appreciated.

Re: Hey! need help with new dpp44 switch
Ok, guys! Still the same. Here it goes. I checked each eye and all three cables read strong signal and quality strength. I did connect the inserter cable to the 1 connector on the dpp44 switch. So, I reconnected everything again and still repeat getting no quality signal. I tried changing settings around maybe to get something of a quality signal but still nothing or no signal.
Now what is interesting with the Dish 1000.2, which I am not familiar with, when I connected each cable directly to each receiver, I get all 3 sats (110,119 &129).
Does the dish 1000.2 have a built in switch? and don't need a multi switch but use a splitter instead for 4 receivers?
or
should I break everything down and start all over again from scratch even moving the dish on the roof?
Darn this can be frustrating!!!!!! Jeewiz, I hate changing or adding new equipment, it happens all the time!

Re: Hey! need help with new dpp44 switch
The DN1000.2 has an integrated LNB Assembly with built-in switch. Each of the three cables from the assembly can connect to individual receivers, and each receiver will be able to select 110-119-129 independently.
A DPP44 is needed when a 4th receiver is added. Connecting the three cables to the switch automatically defeats the LNB assembly's internal switch. All of this is stated in the manual that came with the antenna. If you do not have one, get it here:
Dish Network Dish 1000.2* DishPro Plus 110 118.7 119 129
A splitter will not work as it will prevent each receiver from independently choosing a sat. Your setup seems sound so far, as your dish is working well on its own. What do you know about the integrity of the switch? Can you live with 3 active receivers?

Re: Hey! need help with new dpp44 switch
Thanks DishCharlie for the info! I didn't know this. I should have read the instructions more carefully but I am grateful you did! You saved me lots wasted time and effort. I guess I can live with it and I do have an extra dish in storage for the 4th receiver.
Thanks again. This place rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!l
